To share folders across a network using windows 7
- right click on desired folder
- select "share with"
- Select "specific people"
- select drop down arrow
- from drop down select "everyone"
- click "Add" button to the right of the drop down
- Change permission level to "read/write"
- Click "share"
To view folder on another computer on network
- Ensure all computers are on the same workgroup
- Go to “My Network Places”
- Click on “users on (the name of the computer you wish to access)”
- Navigate to desired location on computer
- Or you can simply drag folder you wish to share to the “public” folder in windows 7.
