Using SandboxIE
- Launch it
- Surf as usual
- To run any program or file sandboxed, right click on file and select “run sandboxed”
- ***Sandboxie creates a safe sandbox for your browser preventing any virus or malicious software you navigate to while surfing from hurting your computer. It does this by creating a clone of your browser and quarantining that cloned version. Occasionally, like when the browser updates you should purge the old clone and tell sandboxie to create a new clone of the updated browser. To do this is very easy:
- Go to programs folder
- Go to sandboxie
- Select “sandboxie control”
- select “sandbox”
- Select “default box”
- Select “delete contents”
- Select “delete sandbox”
- Or you can right click on sandbox icon in system tray
- Hover over “default box”
- Click “delete contents”
